Have you ever tried to fit a round house in a square container? Next week Halo will be shipped to China in containers that will travel all around the world and reach Datong in July.
4 months to build it and 1 week to disassemble it! Walls and ceiling modules are gone and soon also the deck will leave the construction site. Many working nights but at least spring has come to Sweden!
Halo is finally done and ready to be disassembled! On April 18th Chalmers students had the opportunity to have guided tours in the house, share the experience, say goodbye to Halo and wish us good luck with the competition! Special thanks to our partner Projektgaranti that hosted the event.
When your work speaks for itself don't interrupt, even during International Workers' Day! We wish you all a happy May Day!
In Halo we also share meals. Everyday. Thank you for your support mat.se!

Halo is shaping so quickly it's incredible! Walls up!

The construction site has been moved to a tent outside Chalmers, welcome to visit us!
Last week we were invited to show our model at the Real Estate Fair in Stockholm. We presented our project to curious and interested visitors. We left Stockholm with enthusiasm!
Now we have moved out from the concretehall to a tent outside Chalmers where we will be finishing Halo! The webcam is in place for new timelapse and tomorrow we will raise the walls! Welcome to visit if you are passing by!
The construction of Halo has started and is going well: the floor modules are done. It has been hard and tiring to build with our unexperienced hands but also exciting and inspiring to see our 2 years efforts finally shaping!
01:30 - studiomeeting. What's left? How long will it take? Who needs help?
Now, 3 hours later we are finally done! 100% drawings and project manual delivered to China, Hurra! Good teamwork and a lot of pizza! Sleep tight Sweden and good morning China
We just had a morning meeting with China and got answers to our questions. We are continuing working on the final drawings and to complete the project manual for the delivery next Friday. Half of the class is working with the deliveries and the other half is building. The work is moving forward and it really makes us excited!
